Does anyone know what a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant is & what they do?

It is a RN or LVN that consults on the legal issues concerned with nursing practices. Hospitals and large medical companies like insurance agencies have them on full time and smaller organizations use them periodically as nesc.

What is the expected income for a legal nurse consultant?

I am an RN, graduating with a BSN this semester. I’m considering a change of career and wondering if this is a viable job at this time…

Between $100 – $150 an hour.

Judging by the ads online, $150 seems to be the high end.

I suggest consulting with a professional association about changing your career:

Anyone have good info on Certified Legal Nurse Consultant?

I don’t want to pay a fortune for a Internet "class", I was wondering is this certification even worth the money if I took classes at my local community college? I am a RN who would like to do something on the side. Any responses are appreciated.

Yes – I can discuss that – please email me.
